I am back in Ottawa at the Focus Eye clinic to have my eyes 'read' for the surgery to come in 2 days. A technician 'reads' my eyes using a computer, and prints out the coloured pictures of my eyeballs. She spends some time explaining the effects of Monovision and the 'getting used to' - in restrospect, I wish that I had asked more questions and had gone into greater detail regarding how perhaps my age may play a factor in this process - -- my head 'getting around' my new eyes.
I am asked to sign a form that states that, for a period of time, I might need a slight prescription for driving/TV, but that my sight 'corrects really well'.
That only took 40 minutes or so . Okay - 2 days until D day (or SBK Day!)
